In the last five years the member of our consulting team Ivana Ćuruvija works in Qatar on tourist guide training delivery. This activity had its culmination in 2022 when Qatar was preparing to host The FIFA World Cup. As the lead trainer Ivana was working on training delivery which covered gaining of practical skills and guiding techniques, as well as the knowledge about the sites in Doha and outside the capital. Besides, Ivana was coordinating the team of trainers and was actively involved in reviewing the material for the online learning platform.
The activities on this project are continuing in 2023 with the main task as the creation of the training for the guides who already poses the licence, to improve their guiding skills and techniques, as well as the knowledge. With this Qatar is working on improving the quality of tourism services together with the total image of the destination.
Till now, for over 5 years of work in Qatar, Ivana trained over 400 local tourist guides, out of which many are still active in the destination today.
